For pre and post emergence residual broadleaf weed control in apples, stonefruit, kiwifruit, grapevines, onions, vegetable brassicas, forest nurseries and now in forage kale.
Product Type: Herbicide
Active Ingredient: Oxyfluorfen
Formulation: Suspension concentrate
Mode of Action: Group 14 (PPO) Herbicide
Goal Advanced benefits:
- Controls key broadleaf weeds, including fathen and redroot, with activity on a wider spectrum of weeds.
- Flexible post-emergence application, applied once forage kale reaches the 2 to 4 true-leaf stage.
- Can be used alone or with Kamba 750, with the tank mix broadening the weed spectrum, particularly on weeds such as scrambling speedwell, shepherd’s purse and sow thistle.
- Supports resistance management by introducing a solo Group 14 chemistry into forage-kale weed-control programmes for the first time.
When to apply
Apply Goal Advanced at 320 mL/ha in 200 to 250 L water/ha once the forage kale crop has reached the 2 to 4 true-leaf stage. Can be tank mixed with Kamba 750 at 230 mL/ha to widen the weed spectrum controlled. Target actively growing weeds less than 10 cm tall and ensure thorough, even spray coverage. Only one application per crop may be made.
Some temporary bleaching or burning of kale leaves may occur following application. This is quickly outgrown and does not affect yield when Goal Advanced is used according to the label. Avoid spray overlaps, as these may increase crop phytotoxicity.
Withholding Period
Forage kale: Do not graze or feed treated crops until 1 month after application.
