Nufarm Booth Focus for GIS Virtual 2021
Morrisville, NC (December 15, 2020) – Nufarm announces plans for the 2021 Golf Industry Show, held virtually February 2-4, 2021. The Nufarm booth will feature Premium Herbicide Solutions, new information and data on Anuew™ Plant Growth Regulator, and a Naturalized Areas Program, highlighting the advantages of herbicides such as Sure Power®, Millennium Ultra™, and SureGuard® SC in effective naturalized area maintenance.
Introducing Decide™ Fungicide
Nufarm will spotlight a new mode of action for disease defense. Based on a supply agreement with Nichino America to supply pyraziflumid to the US turf industry, Nufarm plans to launch as Decide Fungicide in 2022, pending EPA approval. “As a leader in the turfgrass market, Nufarm is excited to bring this fungicide innovation forward,” says Jason Fausey, PhD, Nufarm Turf & Ornamentals Technical Services Director. “Field trials indicate that Decide Fungicide will be a strong new active ingredient with a high level of application flexibility that controls some of the most challenging turfgrass diseases such as brown patch, dollar spot, and anthracnose.”
Naturalized Areas Rotation Plan
Nufarm offers expertise in planning and caring for naturalized areas on the golf course. With a rotation including Sure Power for tough broadleaf weeds like ground ivy and wild violet, Millennium Ultra 2 to melt away unsightly weeds like Canada thistle, and SureGuard SC to keep dormant areas clean through the winter, superintendents will be well on their way to easily maintained naturalized areas. Plus, Millennium Ultra 2 preserves milkweed, which benefits pollinators. Attendees can visit the Nufarm booth to learn more about customizing a plan for their course.
Win a Husqvarna® Robotic Mower
Attendees can enter to win one of two Husqvarna Automowers. More details can be found in the Nufarm GIS booth and on Nufarm’s social media channels.
Continuing Education with Three EXCEL Leadership Program Classes
Three EXCEL classes will be attending the 2021 show, participating in education, virtual networking opportunities, and the tradeshow. The EXCEL program, a partnership between Nufarm and the GCSAA, offers premium leadership training and development opportunities for participants, chosen annually. Each class participates for three years, completing a curriculum focused on personal, professional, and community development to prepare them to excel as tomorrow’s golf course industry leaders. Learn more about the EXCEL Program and how to apply for the next class of membership at https://www.eifg.org/education/excel-leadership-program. Due to COVID-19, Nufarm and GCSAA have made the decision to extend the timeline of the first class to enable them to get the most out of the program before graduation.
