Fierce® MTZ is a new powerful liquid pre-emergent residual herbicide with 3 unique modes of action that offers both burndown and extended activity on emerging spring broadleaf and grassy weeds for pulse and wheat growers.

Technical information

Active ingredients: Group 5 (metribuzin), Group 14 (flumioxazin), Group 15 (pyroxasulfone)
Application timing: Fall application only. Apply when soil temperature is at 10 degrees or less. 
Treatment area: One case (2 x 9.46L) treats 40 acres (at 473 mL/ac.)
Tank-mix order: Fierce MTZ, BlackHawk® (if used), glyphosate
Notes: Planting after herbicide application requires the use of minimum disturbance planting systems. Fierce MTZ requires moisture to activate in the soil and provides up to 8 weeks of residual control.

Performance tips

  1. Fall application – apply in the fall when soil temperatures fall to 10 °C or less,
    Fierce MTZ gives you significantly more flexibility and time for your spring weed management program
  2. Recommended seeding depth following a Fierce MTZ application is 1-2 inches deep
  3. DO NOT incorporate after application or prior to seeding
  4. Leave a small checkstrip in the field to show performance
