Nufarm is excited to announce the launch and first commercial sales of Teppan® insecticide, containing a new unique active ingredient cyclaniliprole (Cyclapryn®) for the Australian agriculture market.
Teppan will provide Australian horticultural growers an excellent new option to control insect pests in high value crops.
Teppan belongs to the anthranilic diamide class of chemistry. Cyclapryn targets ryanodine receptors of calcium channels in insect cells leading to rapid cessation of feeding and long-lasting control.
Cyclapryn has a wide insecticidal spectrum that is active against not only various lepidopterous insect pests but also Coleoptera, Thysanoptera, Diptera, Hemiptera, and various other insect pests.
Cyclapryn provides larvicidal and adulticidal activity against key economic pests.
Teppan will provide excellent control of Codling Moth in pome orchards.
Ongoing development work will soon deliver additional registrations in more crops and on more pests as the label for this exciting product rapidly expands.
Teppan has a low use rate which requires less active ingredient to be applied per hectare compared to many other insecticides.
Teppan has been developed for the Australian agricultural market in partnership with Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha Ltd. of Osaka, Japan.
The active ingredient Cyclapryn and the formulated product Teppan were invented and developed by Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha, Ltd.
Teppan® and Cyclapryn® are registered trademarks of Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha, Ltd.
