Spring is always a busy and often stressful time for farmers, and this year the job of preparing a crop has been made more challenging by restrictions around COVID-19. In a video posted this morning, Boyd Bergstrom – Country Lead for Nufarm Canada – shares how the entire Nufarm team is focused on ensuring farmers receive the products and support they need to get their job done.
“There have been some questions about product supply and whether product will make it into Canada or not. I want you to know that because Nufarm supplies farmers, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has deemed us, and our industry, an essential service to food security,” Bergstrom says. “Nufarm has two plants in Chicago, Illinois, and one in Greenville, Mississippi. Our staff there are extremely motivated to deliver to your needs.”
In the video, Bergstrom outlines the measures being taken to ensure the health and welfare of all Nufarm teams and their customers.
“During this crisis the world is breathing a sigh of relief knowing that farmers are out there doing their jobs. Also thank you to our channel partners who are staying open to help farmers this spring, and the truckers who are getting the product where it needs to go,” mentions Bergstrom.
