Nufarm appoints Alexandra Gartmann as Non-executive director

The Board of Nufarm is pleased to announce that Ms Alexandra Gartmann will be appointed as a Non-executive director of the Nufarm Board with effect from 23 September 2022.
Ms Gartmann will stand for election at Nufarm’s Annual General Meeting in February 2023.
Nufarm Chair, John Gillam said Ms Gartmann’s appointment followed an extensive search process and aligns with Nufarm’s process of undergoing regular Board renewal to provide the Board with a diverse mix of skills, experience and tenure.
“The Board and I are delighted that Alexandra has agreed to join us. Alexandra brings over 25 years of deep industry experience in rural, agriculture and community focused organisations and is the former CEO of the Rural Bank, a division of the Bendigo & Adelaide Bank.
“Alexandra serves on boards across agriculture, banking and the environment. As the current Chair of the Victorian Agriculture & Climate Change Council and as a Director of the Australian Farm Institute, her experience will bring invaluable insight to our Board.
“Alexandra is passionate about environmental, social and governance impacts within the agricultural industry and is an advocate for innovative partnerships that deliver outcomes for rural and regional industries and communities. She will enhance the existing Board, bringing unique perspectives and experience.
“The Board and I welcome Alexandra to the Board as we enter a new phase in our growth ambitions and as we work towards meeting some of the world’s largest sustainability challenges.”
Ms Gartmann is the current Chair of the Victorian Agriculture & Climate Change Council, Trustee of the Helen MacPherson Smith Trust and is a Director of the Australian Farm Institute. She is the former Chair of the CSIRO Agriculture and Food Advisory Council and member of the National Rural Advisory Council. Her executive career includes roles such as Bendigo & Adelaide Bank Executive Marketing, Partnerships & Corporate Affairs and CEO of Rural Bank and as CEO of the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal and The Birchip Cropping Group.
Ms Gartmann holds a Bachelor of Science (Resource & Environmental Management) from the Australian National University.
