NUXINE is a Host plant defence inducer (FRAC MOA code P06) – prepares plants for defence against fungal attacks by stimulating their natural disease defence mechanisms.

This MOA will play an increasingly significant role in integrated disease control and resistance management programmes – substances in this group prime the crop and do not target pathogens directly, with a low risk of resistance development thought likely.

Efficacy proven in over 150 trials

The science behind NUXINE

A natural plant shield for your crops

NUXINE is a natural elicitor based on a polyscaharide called cerevisane. It is obtained from the purified cell wall extracts of the yeast Sacharomyces cerevisane. Due to its natural origin, it is approved for organic farming within the EU.

Once applied, it triggers the defense mechanism of the plant within just 24 hours. The plant has now created its own natural shield to fungi attacks, exhibiting a strong biofungicide effect.

Leaf spot

Cercospora

Cercospora leaf spot is a result of infestation by the fungi Cercospora. It affects a wide range of plants, such as sugar beet, grains, tomatoes and many more. Typical leaf spot symptoms include small spots with red-brown borders. Infected plants can demonstrate reduced growth, yield and quality.

Stem rot

Sclerotina

Sclerotina stem rot is one of the most common and devastating diseases in oilseed rape. It is caused by the Sclerotina sclerotiorum fungus, whose outbreak is highly dependent on external factors such as rain and soil moisture. The fungus spreads during flowering and symptoms include watery lesions on all visible parts of the plant and eventual bleaching of the stem.
